Soundmanipulator`s ''Rruidos'' is an intricate and intelligent track which maps a quest through a territory filled to the brim with comfortable breathable air and a steady rapid beat pulsing through a minimal live landscape. It is neither cold nor hot terrain, but a climate leaving the listener at ease.
Depending on one`s perspective, the protagonist the listener identifies with in this track may possess the consistent heart beat of a land mammal or extraterrestrial mind researching a new land. The intro is articulated and grounded foot movement, the hasty beat of young life pushing ahead for fresh experience and to go to the unknown area 51 of personal emotional depths.
This track feels personal.
Soon following the intro, there is a concisely crafted lull in sound, like doubt or a false start and the protogonist-consciousness rests to gather energy and feel out the space, to survey the scene or self protect. Now, there is the assurance of safety from any possible enemy spirits.
The legs pick up suddenly and the body of the listener is comfortable in the fastness and inspired to be thrown into the movement of surprising sonic waves. The protogonist is hungry to push forward stepping quickly over occasional flashes of minimal greenish shrubbery as the ground rushes beneath like a sped up film reel. The whirring air is damp and glowing but the land is dry and yellow-rusty, all shadowed by grey black tones.
The track maps images of an exploratory mind finding and noticing objects but never hovering for too long over one physical shred. There are occasional unearthly drones of sound and alarm-like wet tones swimming closer through the space from a secret and remote area and these consciousnesses are harmless, even intriguing to the protagonist. The closing is a satisfying moment of pride. TThis track is a special experience because of its tight structure, a taught thick wire doing the work, stringing the listener along rendering you free and easy for the ride.
